maleartboxes/the first series
I created the first maleartboxes for GNI this summer, applying the stained glass appearance I've developed for my artpurses the last few years to my male erotic artwork. The response was great. I'm now ready to unveil the next creations along with the new website: maleartboxes.com. My first inspiration was a photograph I had taken of Tony del Valle on his first visit to New Orleans in 2002. I found it a haunting, strong image of masculine beauty, and it became the foundation for my new line of maleboxes. I designed these with the idea of adapting the designs for commissions, should anyone like to have a naked lunchbox with the photo of his choice! Just send me your request with your picture attached and we'll work it out from there. My goal is to commemorate your special men and moments as well as celebrate our love of GNI. I'm using black leather on these, as well as semi-precious stones, along with gold and silver leaf over the non-toxic epoxy I sculpt with. Three sizes are available, with the largest being the size of the lunchboxes of our youth. I've set up a gallery format on the website with several boxes available for purchase or to utilize the basic design for a personalized box.
